| Sensor and Measurement Technology secure Energy Efficiency |

The sustainable management of resources and the most effective utilisation of energy in this process will be one of our greatest future challenges. Despite of a reduced use of energy, there should of course be no limitations with regard to performance, safety, utility, and comfort of mechanical and plant engineering and products.
These requirements could not be met without sensor and measurement technology - they deliver precise information, lay the groundwork and establish the basis for any increase of efficiency. For this reason energy efficiency was scheduled as focus topic for SENSOR+TEST 2010 by the exhibition committee and the executive committee of the AMA Association for Sensor Technology.
On the special forum "energy efficiency" in hall 12 (booth no. 12-473) you will be provided with targeted information on this topic. Many examples of applications will illustrate the decisive role of sensor, measuring, and test technology for this important future-oriented task:
- Familiarise yourself with the immense potential for saving energy by
demand-oriented regulation of air-conditioning and ventilation systems
thanks to state-of-the-art gas sensors.
- Find out which methods can be used to monitor industrial air-pressure
systems and thus to save millions that would otherwise be lost.
- Get information on how intelligent energy-consumption measuring systems
can identify energy guzzlers, how precise monitoring of combustion processes
can save energy while reducing environmental pollution, or how energy self-

areas of application.
